What we collect
What you type into a form. Your name, email, phone number, the area you are looking in, a parcel number or address if you give us one, your timeline and budget range, and anything you write in the message field.
What comes along with it. When a form is submitted we also record the date and time, the page you were on, and your IP address. That is standard and it helps us spot spam.
Basic site analytics. Pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device. Aggregate, not tied to your name.
We do not ask for and do not want financial account numbers, Social Security numbers or copies of ID through this website. If a lender needs those, they will collect them through their own secure system, not through us.
Why we collect it
To answer you. To evaluate a lot you have asked us about. To send you a home that matches what you told us you wanted. To keep a record of the conversation so you do not have to repeat yourself to a different person.
If you sign up for listing alerts, we use your email to tell you when a new home comes up. That is the only thing that list is used for.
Who sees it
Us. And the services that make the website work: our web host, our email provider, and our analytics provider. Those companies process the data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
If you ask us to introduce you to a lender or you are working with a real estate agent, we will share what is needed to make that introduction, and only with your say-so.
We do not sell your information, and we do not trade it. We may disclose it if a law or a court order requires it, or if we need it to enforce an agreement.
How long we keep it
Inquiries stay on file for as long as we might reasonably still be in a conversation with you, generally a few years, because home buying takes a long time. Listing alert emails stay until you ask to come off the list. Records tied to a signed contract are kept as long as the law requires.
Getting off the list, or asking us to delete you
Reply to any email from us and say so, or call (407) 434-1384, or email info@eastern-homes.com. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it, and we will not make you jump through hoops.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to keep it working properly and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site may behave oddly if you do.
Children
This site is meant for adults buying or building a home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Changes
If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
